Chief Of Staff
The role
This is first and foremost a Chief of Staff role working directly with Pahoia’s founder, Cameron. You’ll help him make progress on the work that matters most: turning priorities into action, keeping important projects moving, preparing for decisions, and making sure follow-through happens. The agenda is broad and will change over time. You may be working on a deal, a new company, a key hire, an operating challenge or a project that cuts across the group.
What you’ll work on
- Founder priorities and projects: bring structure to open-ended work, prepare for meetings and decisions, coordinate people, track commitments and close loops.
- Buying and building companies: research markets and opportunities, find businesses and people to meet, test whether to build or buy, and help turn promising ideas into a plan.
- Deal flow: develop target lists, assess companies, review financials, build models, coordinate diligence, and prepare clear memos, decks and meeting briefs.
- New ventures and hiring: test assumptions, shape early plans, find customers or partners, define roles, develop candidate pipelines and help close important hires.
- Work across the businesses: understand how teams operate, identify where technology and AI can make a real difference, and help turn improvements into changes that work in practice.
About you
You are thoughtful, discreet and highly dependable. You write clearly, think well with numbers, and can move between a spreadsheet, a founder conversation and an urgent project without losing the thread. You take ownership when work is ambiguous, bring people along, and care about the quality of the outcome. You are curious about how companies work and excited by the challenge of building and buying them for the long term.
Experience in a founder’s office, operating role, investing, M&A, banking, consulting or an early-stage company may be useful. We care most about judgement, range and evidence that you make important work happen.
Based in Singapore, working on-site, with occasional regional travel.
How to apply
To apply, describe a project you took from an unclear starting point to a real result. What did you do, and what changed? Then name a company or market you find interesting: would you build or buy in, where could AI change the work, and what would you want to learn first? Be specific and use your own words.
