Welcome to the Chief of Staff Launchpad, a rigorous, cohort-based certification designed to equip aspiring and first-time Chiefs of Staff with the frameworks, skills, and judgment to excel in the role. This program goes beyond functional expertise to develop the interpersonal, strategic, and organizational fluency required to operate as a trusted partner to your Principal and leadership team.

Through 6 live expert-led sessions, structured discussions, and actionable frameworks, you will learn to navigate the unique dynamics of the Chief of Staff role while leveling up as a strategic leader.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of the Chief of Staff role across different contexts, including how it evolves with company stage and principal needs. We will cover the core competencies required to thrive, common challenges in the transition, and how to position yourself for long-term career growth.

Meet your cohort in a casual, high-trust environment designed for connection and shared learning. Participants will introduce themselves, discuss their goals for the program, and build early relationships that will support accountability and peer learning throughout the course.
Session 2: Strategic Planning Fundamentals
August 20, 12pm ET
Learn how to support and drive effective strategic planning as a Chief of Staff. We will cover frameworks for aligning stakeholders, prioritizing initiatives, and translating high-level goals into actionable plans while maintaining organizational alignment and momentum.

An open, interactive session to discuss course learnings, challenges in your current role, and practical questions about navigating the CoS position. Participants will receive direct feedback and guidance on how to apply frameworks to current strategic and operational priorities.

Explore how Chiefs of Staff effectively manage internal and external communications to align teams, drive clarity, and represent their Principal. We will discuss stakeholder mapping, crafting narratives, managing cross-functional communication, and supporting executive visibility with intention.

Session 4: Building an Effective Principal Partnership
September 3, 12pm ET
Master how to support your Principal and leadership team in making high-quality decisions under ambiguity. We will cover frameworks for defining decision rights, establishing critical information requirements, and prioritizing effectively in a fast-moving environment.

Participants will bring current challenges to this interactive session to receive coaching on prioritization, stakeholder management, and translating course frameworks into day-to-day practice. Rachel will help participants navigate blockers and align their focus with their Principal’s highest priorities.
Session 5: Navigating & Aligning the Exec Team
September 10, 12pm ET
Participants will Participants will learn how to build alignment across the executive team, manage up and across, and maintain an effective operating rhythm. Participants will learn how to position themselves for their next Chief of Staff or strategic operator role with confidence. We will cover how to articulate your CoS value proposition, leverage your network, navigate the hidden job market, and prepare for interviews and negotiation from a position of clarity and strength.
Send-off Mixer
September 18, 12pm ET
Join this final session to celebrate progress, share key takeaways, and discuss next steps in applying what you've learned. This mixer will provide an opportunity to strengthen cohort connections, reflect on personal growth, and align on goals for continued development beyond the program.

Who is this program for?

How much time should I expect to commit each week?

Plan for 2-3 hours per week, including one live session (~60 min), optional office hours, and reflection or application exercises to integrate the frameworks into your day-to-day role.

What if I can’t attend a live session?

All sessions are recorded and shared within your private cohort workspace. You’ll still be able to watch and participate asynchronously while engaging with the cohort via Slack discussions.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, upon completing the program, you’ll receive a digital certification badge to display on LinkedIn and your professional profiles, signaling your commitment to excellence as a Chief of Staff.
