About The Role
We're hiring a Chief of Staff/VP of Product Operations to be the operational "glue" that keeps a rapidly scaling product and delivery organization aligned, energized, and executing—especially as we prepare for a potential acquisition that could significantly increase the size of the company.
This role reports into the Chief of Staff and partners closely with product leadership, the people team, and the broader VP group. You'll help ensure teams are aligned on meeting cadences, reporting frequency, and shared ways of working across squads—creating clarity across different workstreams, time zones, different platforms, products, and operating models.
Your impact will be felt in how smoothly the organization scales and integrates: strong communication, crisp reporting, and pragmatic systems that help teams maintain momentum and deliver consistently. Done well, you'll protect what makes Nscale work—positive energy, great collaboration, and focus—while enabling the business to navigate major change without losing sight of priorities.
What you'll be doing
Lead integration and scaling through change
- Drive the operational workstream for a potential acquisition and the integration of teams, platforms, and ways of working
- Build alignment across multiple product lines and services to ensure smooth day-to-day operations during rapid growth
- Establish clear coordination across time zones to keep execution moving and reduce friction between teams
- Surface risks early (misalignment, unclear ownership, communication gaps) and put mitigations in place to keep teams performing at pace
Create alignment through cadences, communication, and reporting
- Standardize meeting cadences across squads to keep teams synchronized as the org scales
- Own a consistent weekly reporting rhythm (what shipped, what's next, blockers) and ensure updates are shared in Slack
- Enable concise, high-signal cross-team communication so workstreams stay coordinated and nothing falls through the cracks
- Act as the "glue" between functions, ensuring teams stay aligned, engaged, and moving in the same direction
Strengthen systems, tooling, and process discipline
- Implement pragmatic processes and systems that make execution predictable without adding unnecessary overhead
- Leverage Linear for task management, including integrations with Slack and GitHub, to keep work visible and up to date
- Improve how information flows across squads and leadership, ensuring reporting is timely, consistent, and actionable
- Bring strong systems thinking to design repeatable ways of working that scale with a growing organization
Partner closely with leadership as the execution "right hand"
- Serve as a trusted operational partner to product and functional leaders to keep priorities, execution, and comms on track
- Hold leaders accountable to agreed cadences and deliverables by proactively following up and clearing blockers
- Coordinate across VPs to maintain alignment and momentum across parallel streams of work
- Keep a close pulse on team health and collaboration, helping ensure teams stay energized and effective through change
KPIs
- On-time integration of acquisition teams into Nscale ways of working (mission-aligned squads)
- Weekly squad reporting consistency in Slack (updates, next steps, blockers) across all streams of work
- Cross-team communication effectiveness and alignment to meeting cadences across time zones
About You
- Significant experience in operations, chief of staff, or product/portfolio operations roles supporting scaling teams
- Proven change-management experience, ideally having supported a merger, acquisition, or large-scale organizational integration
- Highly organized and process-driven, with strong systems thinking and a track record of implementing pragmatic operating cadences
- Strong cross-functional skills—able to align multiple teams, workstreams, and leaders to consistent ways of working
- Excellent communication and reporting discipline (e.g., clear weekly updates, risks/blockers, and progress visibility)
- Comfortable driving alignment across time zones and different team cultures, tools, and delivery lifecycles
- Able to operate with strong empathy and people instincts—building trust, maintaining team health, and keeping morale strong during change
- Familiarity with modern product/engineering operating models (e.g., mission-aligned squads) and tooling like Slack, Linear, and GitHub integrations is a plus
Nice-to-have
- Experience in technology M&A (SaaS, platform, AI/infrastructure)
- Product management or technical program management background
- Advanced degree (MBA or related) or senior HR qualifications
