Chief of Staff
CHIEF OF STAFF
£SIX FIGURE BASIC | LONDON BASED (HYBRID) | WEALTH MANAGEMENT COMPANY
This is not your typical Chief of Staff role...my client is a well-established, ambitious wealth management company with a strong national presence. They are looking for an exceptional individual to work directly alongside their Head of Financial Planning, taking ownership of the operational and strategic agenda so that the MD can focus on leading the business and making the decisions that matter most.
If you are the kind of person who thrives on getting things done, can hold a complex organisation together behind the scenes and knows how to make a senior leader more effective, this could be a genuinely exciting opportunity.
The role:
- Act as the right hand to the MD, owning the operational agenda and ensuring the right priorities are being driven forward at pace
- Take full ownership of strategic and transformational projects from inception through to delivery, keeping stakeholders informed and interdependencies well managed
- Bring structure and clarity to a busy, complex business; identifying where things are falling through the gaps and fixing them before they become problems
- Establish strong project management frameworks and reporting disciplines that give the leadership team visibility and confidence
- Be a trusted sounding board for the MD, someone who will challenge constructively, think independently, and provide well-reasoned recommendations
- Represent the financial planning business in internal forums and contribute to group-wide initiatives
What we're looking for:
- A background in financial planning - whether in paraplanning, technical leadership or operations that gives you the credibility to operate effectively in this environment
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects or initiatives with multiple stakeholders
- Exceptionally organised, analytical, calm under pressure and someone who can manage competing priorities without dropping the ball
- Outstanding communication skills and the confidence to both influence and engage senior stakeholders across the business
- A self-starter with real ownership and follow-through. This role requires someone who makes things happen rather than waiting to be told
What's on offer:
- Negotiable £six figure basic salary
- Generous holiday entitlement
- Private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, and pension
- Hybrid working with two to three days per week in the London office
- The opportunity to work at the heart of a significant financial planning business and genuinely shape how it operates
This is a role for someone who is quietly exceptional, organised, sharp, and motivated by making the people and business around them perform at their best.
