Senior Vice President

Job Description:

The Senior Vice President is a core member of the company's senior management team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Group President. They are responsible for the strategic development and overall management of one or more key business segments or functional areas. This position plays a crucial role in corporate strategy development, business operations, and organizational governance, supporting the company's long-term growth and value creation by driving strategy implementation, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering organizational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

I. Corporate Strategy and Business Leadership

  • Participate in the development of the company's overall strategy, medium- and long-term planning, and major decisions;
  • Translate the company's strategy into strategic goals and execution plans for the responsible business segments;
  • Take full responsibility for business growth, profitability, and operational performance.

II. Business Operations and Performance Management

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the assigned business or function;
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs/OKRs) to ensure goal achievement;
  • Continuously optimize business models, processes, and resource allocation to improve overall operational efficiency.

III. Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Organizational Governance

  • Work closely with other senior executives and business leaders to drive cross-departmental collaboration;
  • Ensure a high degree of alignment between strategy, resources, and execution within the organization;
  • Support corporate governance, compliance, and risk management requirements.

IV. Major Project and Strategic Initiative Implementation

  • Lead or participate in company-wide major projects, transformation plans, and strategic initiatives;
  • Drive the implementation of key change and innovation projects;
  • Ensure projects achieve strategic and business objectives as planned.

V. Team Leadership and Talent Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing management team;
  • Develop high-potential talent with strategic thinking and execution capabilities;
  • Create a results-, responsibility, and collaboration-oriented management culture.

VI. External Communication and Relationship Management (Depending on responsibilities)

  • Represent the company in high-level communication with key clients, partners, and external organizations;
  • Support investor relations, government affairs, or strategic partnerships;
  • Enhance the company's brand and industry influence.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field;
  • MBA, EMBA, or overseas education background preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Over 20 years of relevant industry or management experience;
  • At least 15 years of senior management experience (VP/BU Head/GM, etc.);
  • Successful experience managing complex businesses or large organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management experience in large groups, listed companies, or multinational corporations;

  • Consulting, investment, or multi-disciplinary management experience.
