Blair West are supporting a San Francisco-based holding company backed by Alpine Investors, who have a portfolio of over 100 B2B services businesses, in their search for a Head of Growth.
With a strong footprint in North America, the business is expanding into the UK and this newly created position will be instrumental in driving top-line revenue growth and commercial success for one of its portfolio companies. Sitting within the leadership team, this role will own the go-to-market strategy and have full commercial accountability.
The opportunity:
- Lead the development and execution of growth strategies focused on new customer acquisition and recurring revenue.
- Build and scale high-performing sales and marketing functions, including hiring and developing commercial talent.
- Own the sales pipeline from lead generation through to close, improving conversion rates and driving performance.
- Design outbound sales strategies, strategic partnerships, and channel development to broaden market reach.
- Act as a key decision-maker in commercial planning and budget setting alongside senior stakeholders.
- Build long-term relationships with key customers, partners, and commercial networks within the UK.
- Establish a culture of data-led decision-making across commercial functions.
- Provide strategic input into financial planning and ensure growth initiatives align with commercial targets and ROI.
- Contribute to broader operational improvement and cross-functional alignment across the leadership team.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- A strong track record of driving revenue growth and scaling commercial teams within a high-growth B2B or SaaS environment.
- Experience owning go-to-market strategies, ideally from the ground up.
- Commercial acumen with confidence in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis including CAC/LTV metrics.
- Background in sales leadership, business development, or strategic growth roles.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance fast growth and financial discipline.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing sales and marketing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly at board or C-suite level.
- Entrepreneurial energy and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Experience in Managed Service Providers (MSP) or software/SaaS businesses is advantageous.
