1. About the Opportunity:
The Deputy Chief of Staff acts as a strategic deputy and trusted partner to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief of Staff. This role functions as an extension of the CEO's Office, focusing on leading special projects, driving strategic initiatives, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and ensuring enterprise priorities are executed effectively. The position provides additional capacity and strategic support wherever executive leadership requires it, translating priorities into measurable results.
1. Responsibilities:
• Lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
• Manage high-priority special projects.
• Conduct executive research and business analysis.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
• Serve as deputy to the CEO and Chief of Staff.
• Prepare executive briefings, reports, and presentations.
• Track executive priorities and follow-up actions.
• Represent executive leadership as delegated.
• Partner with department leaders to remove obstacles.
• Coordinate work across business functions.
• Monitor organizational priorities and escalate risks.
• Develop SOPs, policies, and executive reporting.
• Identify operational improvements.
• Support organizational transformation and M&A initiatives.
• Draft executive correspondence and presentations.
• Develop dashboards and executive updates.
• Ensure follow-through on executive commitments.
• Lead confidential executive initiatives.
• Perform additional strategic assignments as directed.
1. Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8–15 years leadership experience in operations, consulting, strategy, finance, program management, military leadership, or similar.
• Experience supporting C-suite executives or leading enterprise initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Executive presence and ability to influence without direct authority.
• High discretion and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; project management tools preferred.
• Ability to remain effective under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
• Adaptability to changing business needs and priorities.
• Experience as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
• Stable, reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup.
• Experience in financial services, commercial lending, or military leadership is a plus.
1. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Base salary of $150,000 (SVP) or $200,000 (Director), plus eligibility for incentive compensation including equity and deferred cash bonus, based on level and company policy.
