Job Description:

tl;dr: We're automating compliance for banks and fintechs with AI agents that work like human analysts. We're looking for a Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO — someone who can operate across every function of the business, make the founder faster, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks as we scale. What You’ll Work On

You'll work directly with the CEO across every function — sales, GTM, marketing, product, operations, people, and strategy. Your job is to take what's on the founder's plate and either own it outright or drive it far enough that the final decision is the only thing left.

The work changes week to week. You might be preparing materials for a bank deal, building out a hiring process, coordinating a product launch, running a partnership evaluation, or tightening internal operations. The constant is that you're always working on whatever has the highest leverage, and making sure what gets discussed actually gets done.

Over time, you'll help build the foundation for the teams that come next: marketing, customer success, product, and beyond. You'll shape the roles, set the bar, and create the processes that let Sphinx scale without losing quality.

  • You're a generalist who executes at a specialist level: You can write a compelling deck, build a financial model, run a hiring loop, and draft a customer email — and each one is good enough that it doesn't need to be redone.  
  • You like ambiguity: You’re comfortable when goals shift, priorities collide, and projects need to be delivered earlier. You make decisions fast and course-correct faster.  
  • You communicate with clarity: We move fast with minimal process. You need to articulate tradeoffs, communicate blockers, and make decisions with limited information.  
  • You’re impact-obsessed: You want to see your work move the company forward – every day.
