Chief of Staff
Job Description:
Our client, a successful and growing organisation, is looking for their first Chief of Staff to support the team and inspirational MD/Founder.
This is a high-level support role for a sharp, proactive, and efficient professional working directly with the MD.
The ideal candidate is skilled at managing up, anticipating needs, offering well-informed recommendations, and taking initiative without waiting for direction. Success in this role demands strong judgment, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to stay several steps ahead at all times.
Location: Kingston Upon Thames, hybrid
Salary: £75K per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time

Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as an assistant to MD/CEO/Director position.
- Proficiency in Excel: Ability to manage data and perform basic analysis (advanced skills not required).
- Familiarity with using project management tools to manage tasks, timelines, and workflows.
- Previous experience in legal sector is a plus but not required.

Business Operations and Responsibilities
- Communicate with staff and external partners on behalf of the MD to follow up on tasks and projects.
- Keep all communication and documents confidential and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Track the progress of projects and tasks.
- Do research on various topics as requested by the MD.
- Assist in preparing quarterly reports and other important documents.
- Handle ad hoc tasks as needed, making sure they are done correctly and on time.
- Provide comprehensive day-to-day support to the Managing Director (MD), ensuring all tasks and priorities are managed efficiently.
