Chief of Staff
Location:
San Francisco (in-office, 6 days/week)
Experience:
3+ years in Private Equity, Consulting, or a similar high-intensity strategic role
About Broccoli
Broccoli is building the AI operating system for the trades — starting with voice agents that answer every call, book more jobs, and keep operations running 24/7. We work with hundreds of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC contractors across the U.S., from single-location shops to some of the largest PE-backed platforms in the industry.
We’re growing fast (40%+ MoM), backed by top-tier investors, and scaling from startup to category-defining company.
The Role
This is not a “sit in meetings and take notes” Chief of Staff role. At Broccoli, you will be the CEO’s right hand — embedded in the details, owning urgent problems, and spinning up solutions fast. Your job is to figure out what’s on fire, build a v1, and then hand it off to the right owner while you move on to the next challenge.
You’ll operate across every part of the business — strategy, operations, product, recruiting, fundraising, enterprise customer deals. Some weeks you’ll be deep in building a new sales process; other weeks you’ll be helping close a multi-million dollar account, or shaping product strategy alongside the CEO.
This is a high-intensity, hands-on role. Expect to work side-by-side with the CEO in-office 6 days a week.
What You’ll Do
- Partner directly with the CEO to set priorities and drive execution across the company
- Identify the most pressing problems, create a v1 solution, and transition ownership once stable
- Get involved in everything that matters — product strategy, enterprise sales, fundraising, recruiting, investor relations, operations
- Build systems and processes that scale as the company grows
- Work directly with mega accounts and strategic partners to unlock growth
- Roll up your sleeves on details, but also step back to shape the long-term strategy
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in Private Equity, Management Consulting, or an equivalent high-rigor environment
- Thrives in chaos, moves fast, and has the judgment to prioritize the highest-leverage problems
- Low-ego, execution-driven operator who can jump from boardroom strategy to nitty-gritty process building
- Comfortable working directly with the CEO in a high-expectations, high-trust environment
- Excited to build from the ground up — not just advise, but actually do the work
Why Broccoli
- Work with a founding team scaling one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the trades
- Direct exposure to fundraising, enterprise deals, product strategy, and category creation
- No two weeks will ever look the same — your scope will evolve with the company
- If you want to become a future founder, operator, or investor, this is the training ground
Compensation Range:
$140K - $200K
