Chief of Staff Execution Lead | AI, Automation, Cross-Functional Delivery, Scale-Up 

Salary: up to £70k  

Location: Hybrid in Oxford/Wallingford (weekly attendance required)  

A fast-growing robotics and warehouse automation business is looking for an Chief of Staff Execution Lead to help drive execution across the business.

This is a broad, high-autonomy role focused on solving internal operational problems, improving how teams work, and making sure important initiatives actually get delivered. The environment is fast moving and pragmatic, with far more emphasis on progress than process. This role will suit someone who enjoys ambiguity, works well across different stakeholders, and is at their best when taking messy problems and turning them into practical, workable solutions quickly.

Chief of Staff Execution Lead | Key responsibilities  

  • Drive cross-functional execution across the business, working on internal initiatives spanning operations, engineering, service, deployments, HR and tooling.  
  • Take ownership of ambiguous business problems and turn them into clear actions, practical workflows and deliverable outcomes.  
  • Work on high-priority internal projects.  
  • Build lightweight processes, trackers, workflows and tools that improve visibility, efficiency and accountability.  
  • Support rollout and adoption of new tools and internal ways of working, ensuring they add value and actually get used.  
  • Map out what needs to happen for projects to succeed, including stakeholder alignment, dependencies, rollout tasks and adoption considerations.  
  • Use AI, automation and modern tooling to speed up delivery and simplify operational work.

Chief of Staff Execution Lead | Requirements  

  • Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment with a strong bias toward execution and pace.  
  • Proven track record of delivering cross-functional projects across complex teams or departments.  
  • Comfort working with senior stakeholders and handling friction, resistance or competing priorities.  
  • Strong evidence of building or improving processes, workflows, tooling or internal operating structures.  
  • An AI / automation mindset, including confidence using tools to improve speed and efficiency.
