Chief of Staff Director, People
Job Description:
For our client, we are seeking a Chief Of Staff Director People to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives. The position offers the opportunity to influence culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a regulated financial services environment.
Location:
Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation:
$226,000 – $335,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Be a thought partner to the Chief People Officer, evaluating priorities and trade-offs
- Help articulate the People organization's strategy and impact clearly to various stakeholders
- Ensure execution of People team initiatives and maintain alignment among leaders
- Manage organizational rhythms such as meetings and planning sessions for effective decision-making
- Prepare high-quality presentations and executive updates for the CPO
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across the People leadership team
- Lead special projects from inception through completion, ensuring stakeholder alignment
- Represent the CPO’s priorities in cross-functional discussions and decisions
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in business management or HR/People strategy, preferably in a high-growth tech or fintech environment
- Deep understanding of People organization functions and their operational interconnections
- Experience as a strategic partner or advisor to executive leadership, especially to a CPO or senior leader
- Exceptional storytelling skills to create clear and concise narratives from complex information
- Self-directed with strong judgment and discretion, suitable for a senior executive context
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate ambiguous issues effectively
- Excellent communication skills to influence without authority and articulate complex ideas succinctly
- Ability to utilize AI tools in producing impactful executive-ready content
