Chief of Staff
About the Company
We are hiring a Chief of Staff to work directly alongside the founders as a force multiplier across the entire business. This is a builder's role, not a support role. You will turn ambiguity into structure, translate the founders' priorities into systems and teams, and absorb complexity so the leadership team can operate at the top of its game. You will sit at the intersection of our commercial and technical functions and build the operating backbone that lets us scale. The role is based in the United States and demands intensity, exceptional judgment, and the agency to spot a problem, plan, and execute without being asked twice.
About the Role
As the first Chief of Staff, you will be the connective tissue between the founders, the engineering team, and the go-to-market motion. You won't do the heavy lifting yourself; you'll design the systems and hire the people who do, then hold them to a high standard. Where there is a bottleneck, you build the pipeline to clear it. Where there is chaos, you create order. You will operate across both the technical and commercial sides of the business in a rapid loop of spot, plan, execute.
Responsibilities
- Multiply the founders: Absorb operational complexity so the founders can focus on the highest-leverage work. You are a filter and an organizer, never a bottleneck.
- Build systems, not one-off fixes: When the problem is hiring, you stand up a recruiting pipeline and bring in the people to run it. When the problem is pipeline hygiene, you hire and direct a sales-ops function. You scale yourself through systems and people.
- Turn conversation into action: Convert meeting notes, calls, and loose discussions into clear plans, structured documents, and prioritized to-do lists the team can run on.
- Drive commercial operations: Support the go-to-market engine across prospecting, pipeline hygiene, forecasting, buyer psychology, and enterprise sales.
- Own hiring and logistics: Build and manage the recruiting, onboarding, and operational machinery as the team grows.
- Challenge the founders: Push back, ask "why," and hold a high bar. We want someone who will tell us when we're wrong.
Qualifications
- A high-intensity pedigree: Experience in a rigorous, process-driven environment, such as top-tier management consulting (e.g. McKinsey) or investment banking (e.g. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan), where structure, intensity, and long hours are the norm. You now want to apply that rigor to something more meaningful.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence: A natural ability to read people, understand what they need, and navigate relationships with care. Interpersonal skill is your default setting.
- Operational excellence: A genuine operator who creates order out of organized chaos. Systems, structure, and follow-through come naturally.
- Extreme agency: You gather the minimum context needed and begin executing immediately: spot, plan, execute, repeat.
- Comfort with ambiguity: You thrive without a playbook and define the path as you go.
- Low ego, high standards: No task is beneath you, and you do everything, high or low, to a consistently high standard.
- Outstanding communication: A strong written and verbal communicator who can structure messy inputs into crisp plans and documents.
- Relentless drive: You bring real energy and want to operate at the highest level, every day.
- US-based: Located in the United States and authorized to work in the US.
