Chief of Staff
Job Description:
Our client, a rapidly growing investment management firm, is seeking a strategic and execution-focused leader to partner closely with executive leadership on high-impact business initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and can drive cross-functional execution across the organization.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Director will help coordinate strategic initiatives, improve organizational effectiveness, and ensure key priorities are executed efficiently across business units.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Execution
- Partner with executive leadership to drive execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.
- Develop implementation plans, project timelines, and success metrics for key business priorities.
- Monitor progress, identify execution risks, and ensure accountability across functional teams.
- Prepare executive presentations, reporting packages, and materials for leadership meetings.
Business Operations
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving distribution, operations, product, compliance, marketing, and capital markets.
- Evaluate existing business processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Support organizational planning as the firm continues to grow its investment platform and distribution capabilities.
- Develop management reporting and KPI dashboards to improve decision-making.
Program & Project Leadership
- Manage enterprise-wide strategic initiatives from planning through execution.
- Coordinate product launches, business integrations, and operational improvement projects.
- Assist with vendor management, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Establish governance processes, meeting cadences, and project tracking methodologies.
Executive Partnership
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership on special projects and business priorities.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments.
- Assist in preparing materials for board meetings, investor presentations, and executive updates.
- Ensure alignment between strategic objectives and day-to-day execution.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in asset management, financial services, consulting, strategy, business operations, or project leadership.
- Strong understanding of investment products and asset management business models.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
