Position Overview

The Chief of Staff (CoS) will serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, helping drive, plan, and execute company initiatives, monitoring of KPIs, and aligning the merit of cross-departmental priorities to adhere to the company's vision and goals. The CoS will act as an integrator across business units—loan origination, underwriting, capital markets, asset management, and servicing—ensuring the organization operates with clarity, accountability, and speed.

This is a high-visibility role requiring a strong mix of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and deep understanding of the real estate lending landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a thought partner to the CEO, helping set priorities, manage key initiatives, and monitor progress on business goals.
  • Drive strategic planning sessions and ensure follow-through on action items.
  • Support decision-making with data-driven insights and financial analysis.
  • Streamline processes across lending operations, underwriting, and servicing functions.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable systems for improved efficiency.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Act as a liaison between executive leadership and senior leadership to align business objectives.
  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination between sales, operations, credit, legal, and finance teams.
  • Facilitate executive team meetings, set agendas, and document action items.
  • Assist with relations with Pretium Partners, reporting, and presentations.
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects that drive business growth.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field). MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7–10+ years in financial services, real estate lending, private equity, or consulting.
  • Proven track record in operations, strategic planning, or executive advisory roles.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

Base salary of $225,000 - $300,000 plus annual discretionary bonus based on performance of the individual and company.
