The Company:

David creates tools to help people build muscle and lose fat. Our first products are protein bars, and we’re building a platform for high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout CPG brand at a pivotal stage of growth and work directly with the CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR.

The Role:

The Founder’s Associate supports high-priority initiatives and incubates new projects, explores new opportunities, and plants the seeds for the next generation of brands, products, and innovations at David.

We’re looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial generalist who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and brings a sense of ownership.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work directly with the CEO on special projects, including exploring new products and markets
  • Run experiments, test products, and assess viability quickly
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to launch, working across product, supply chain, and go-to-market
  • Scale validated concepts into a potential new brand or business line

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity
  • Proven ability to lead projects independently  
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and switching between high-level thinking and hands-on work
  • Self-starting attitude with a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly
  • Low ego, high self-awareness, and eagerness to learn
  • Thinking from first principles and focuses on what works
  • Desire to help build an early-stage CPG company

Practicalities & Benefits:

  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week — when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.  
  • Salary: $110-140K per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets.
