Job Description:

We’re seeking a strategic and execution-focused Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive operational excellence, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic priorities.

About the Role

The Chief of Staff will operate as a strategic right hand to the CEO, supporting the execution of high-priority initiatives, streamlining operations, and improving overall business performance.

This role requires a highly strategic, analytical, and execution-driven individual who can operate in a fast-paced environment, solve complex business challenges, and align teams to drive impact. The ideal candidate has experience working in a high-growth startup or within fintech, mortgage, or financial services.

This position is based in Columbus, OH, with a high degree of flexibility. The Chief of Staff will support the CEO in all facets of the business, including finance, board interactions, and inbox management, ensuring alignment across the executive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution: Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to develop and drive key strategic initiatives across the business.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability across departments.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with department heads to ensure alignment on business goals, execution roadmaps, and key priorities.
  • CEO Enablement: Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, helping to prioritize meetings, manage executive communications, and provide insights to drive decision-making.
  • Project & Program Management: Lead mission-critical projects, track progress on major initiatives, and ensure timely execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with investors, board members, and key stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and executive reporting.
  • Recruitment & Growth Support: Contribute to recruitment efforts including strategy, logistics, and execution to fuel business expansion.
  • Data & Insights: Analyze business performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to optimize growth and profitability.
  • Culture & Leadership: Reinforce company culture, drive team alignment, and enhance internal communication to keep employees informed and engaged.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence; able to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects and driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
