The Role

A Chief of Staff is a tour of duty learn what it takes to make a startup successful. You will act as an extension of the CEO and leadership team, driving critical initiatives across the business - in any capacity. Your time will be split across strategy and day to day company operations. To be successful in this role, you need a strong bias toward action and delivery. You will work with and directly report to the CEO.

In brief, your job will be to get things done across strategy and operations in the company. This will span finance, legal, administrative and over time, increasingly strategic work. There is ample room to grow into a company leadership role over time.

We are an AI-forward team: we use agentic tools daily and expect you to be fluent in leveraging them to accelerate your work, not replace your critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep the company - and office - running  
• Own regular finance, procurement and administration processes  
• Manage vendor relationships, supplies, IT, lab equipment leasing  
• Coordinate legal and commercial paperwork across internal and external stakeholders  
• Bring structure that accelerates the pace  
• Lead cross functional projects from idea to delivery, stitching together information and reporting across functions (e.g., operations, R&D, informatics and translation)  
• Bring project management and process diligence principles to a growing team of scientists across the board  
• Help grow our team by sourcing candidates across open roles, managing hiring as needed and running onboarding processes.  
• Build company strategy frameworks across market research, commercial and data strategy, IP and financial planning. Over time, we want you to own some of those to completion.

You have

• 2-5 years of experience. Ideally, you have worked in a structured environment (think: Consulting, Corporate) and an unstructured one (think: Startup, Academia). Ideally, you have enough biology and computational knowledge to be dangerous, not an expert.  
• Excellent communication skills. You are clear and articulate in your written and spoken communication and understand effective documentation principles.  
• Comfort with ambiguity - You can take unstructured inputs from many places into account, and give structured, clear outputs.  
• A GSD reputation - People trust that if something is in your hands, it will get done, and get done well.

Nice to have

• A degree in the life sciences  
• Danish language capability  
• Experience working in a high-paced startup in the Danish ecosystem
