Using data-driven insights, MBX identifies white-space opportunities and brings products to market with speed, leveraging the latest Korean beauty innovations in formulation, packaging, and design.

With wide distribution across Sephora, Ulta, Target, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Walgreens, CVS, and other major global retailers, MBX is rapidly expanding its presence and building beloved beauty brands for consumers worldwide. Its mission is simple: to bring the best of Korean beauty innovation to the global market.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and disciplined Chief of Staff to support the North America General Manager and the CEO. This individual will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, facilitating communication across global teams, and ensuring operational excellence. The ultimate goal of this role is to help grow our North America business while strengthening alignment with our Seoul office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the North America General Manager and CEO, driving strategic priorities.
  • Act as a key communication bridge between the Los Angeles and Seoul offices, ensuring clarity, alignment, and execution across teams.
  • Conduct data analysis to generate insights that inform business decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare structured weekly reports on performance, initiatives, and progress against goals.
  • Collaborate across departments—including product development, creative, marketing, sales, and operations—to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Own and manage key internal North America meetings to drive cross-functional alignment in support of our growing retail business.
  • Support strategic projects to expand distribution, build brand awareness, and improve sales performance in the North America market.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in both English and Korean is required.
  • Strong background in strategic thinking, communication, and data analysis.
  • Marketing experience preferred, especially within the beauty, retail, or consumer goods industries.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Highly disciplined, structured, and detail-oriented.
  • Flexible, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Passion for K-beauty and enthusiasm for bringing Korean beauty innovation to a global audience.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience (management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or marketing roles in consumer, retail, or beauty).
  • Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor to senior executives, with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects across time zones and cultures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear, actionable plans.
  • Financial acumen with comfort interpreting P&L, budgets, and performance metrics.
