Why This Role Exists

We are growing insanely fast and our CEO (the guy who wrote this) is unskilled in some critical things like: building processes + internal systems, setting clear OKRs across a series of businesses, + creating repeatable structures.

To keep our speed, we need someone who:

  • Creates the systems for how we build and spin up new companies
  • Owns internal projects from start to finish without hand-holding
  • Makes the CEO and the whole team more effective

Reporting Structure

  • You report directly to the CEO - Justin Silver
  • You work across the entire portfolio of incubated companies
  • You partner with engineering, growth, product, and design
  • You operate with a lot of ownership and very little oversight

You will work with Justin Silver - LinkedIn. His career:

  • Built Brooklinen out of college as first employee + CMO into a 9-figure PE exit
  • Then scaled a FinTech bank called Albert - 20 million customers
  • Then Co-founded the best selling filtered shower head - Afina
  • Then founded Kinetic in March 2025.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Build the operating system for Kinetic. How we find ideas, pressure test them, and turn them into real products and companies.
  • Create planning systems we actually stick to. Annual plans, quarterly goals, monthly targets, OKRs.
  • Design how the team works every day. Standups. Retros. Rituals. The stuff that keeps an 8-person team shipping like a 50-person team.
  • Keep us aligned as humans. Monthly check-ins. All-hands. Offsites.
  • Own all investor communication. Monthly updates, quarterly board decks, memos.
  • Bring discipline to Notion so it becomes our real source of truth instead of a junk drawer.
  • Run the critical internal projects. New entities, breaking out finances by company, stock options, selling an asset, and anything else that pops up.
  • Build the hiring engine for Kinetic and the companies we spin out.
  • Take messy ideas from me and turn them into clear plans with owners, timelines, and actual outcomes.

Who You Are

Your Background:

  • Former consultant or similar background
  • Then at least 2 years inside a startup doing Chief of Staff work

Non-Negotiables:

  • Experience in consumer focused company
  • Experience "managing' a high velocity founder
  • Deep analytical experience building process that ADDS velocity to business outcomes
  • 5+ Years of experience
  • Characteristics - everyone at Kinetic has these traits

What You Will Not Do

  • You are not a project manager only
  • You are not a note taker
  • You are not a babysitter
  • You are not an EA

You are here to force multiply, run projects autonomously and make the CEO and the whole org more effective.

Compensation and Path

  • Equity in Kinetic
  • Salary 150k to 200k
  • Health, dental, vision fully covered
  • All meals covered daily + unlimited stocked fridge with whatever you want
  • 2k monthly stipend for therapy, commuting, gym, whatever helps you stay healthy and effective
  • 4 weeks paid vacation (that we all take)

This role can evolve into several paths depending on how you perform and what you want. You can stay Chief of Staff. You can become a GM of one of our companies. You can grow into a COO style role.
