Job Description:

Our client is hiring a Chief of Staff to partner directly with the founders as our first business-side hire. You’ll be an extension of the founding team—working across company priorities from strategic projects to foundational operations.

You’ll be a force multiplier across company operations, product, hiring, fundraising, and strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and wants to be embedded in the creation of something category-defining.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate as a trusted partner to the founders—drive alignment, execution, and velocity across all areas of the business
  • Lead critical early initiatives: fundraising, launch planning, hiring, compliance, investor relations
  • Manage operational infrastructure:
  • Stand up internal systems (GSuite, Slack, Brex, Rippling, etc.)
  • Build and run onboarding processes for new hires (laptops, accounts, policies, internal docs)
  • Own IT/security setup in collaboration with external partners
  • Coordinate logistics:
  • Source and manage our NYC office (lease, vendors, equipment)
  • Manage travel, offsites, investor meetings, founder scheduling
  • Prepare internal dashboards and investor communications
  • Support recruiting: write job descriptions, source talent, coordinate interviews, onboard new team members
  • Be the connective tissue across product, engineering, legal, finance, and external vendors

You Might Be a Fit If You

  • Have 2–5 years of experience in fast-paced, high-accountability environments (startups, consulting, VC, product/ops roles)
  • Are a systems thinker who loves building process from scratch
  • Communicate clearly—especially in writing
  • Are obsessively organized, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Are hungry to work closely with founders, and unafraid of doing unglamorous work when needed
  • Want to be a founder yourself—or could become one here

Bonus If You

  • Have worked directly with execs or founders in a previous role
  • Have experience in fintech or early-stage infrastructure
  • Have supported company formation or team scaling before
