Chief of Staff

Job Description:

This is a high-impact leadership role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building organisations, and helping ambitious businesses navigate periods of rapid growth. You will be trusted with some of the company's most important priorities and will help shape what Beyond Reach Labs becomes over the coming years.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced operator with a proven track record of driving execution within growing organisations. You will act as a force multiplier for the founders, helping ensure that critical initiatives are delivered, decisions are implemented, and the business continues to scale effectively.

You should be equally comfortable discussing long-term growth strategy, improving operational processes, supporting key customer relationships, and rolling up your sleeves to solve immediate challenges.

Responsibilities

​

Strategic Planning & Growth

​

• Partner with the founders to define and execute the company's strategic priorities
• Support long-term planning, organisational development, and growth initiatives
• Track key objectives and ensure delivery against critical milestones
• Translate strategic ambitions into actionable delivery plans

​

Operational Leadership

​

• Build and improve the systems, structures, and processes that enable scale
• Drive operational excellence across the business
• Create management reporting and performance tracking mechanisms
• Identify organisational risks and develop mitigation strategies

​

Cross-Functional Execution

​

• Lead company-wide initiatives that span multiple teams and disciplines
• Ensure effective coordination between engineering, operations, commercial, and leadership functions
• Remove blockers and help teams maintain momentum
• Drive accountability and follow-through across strategic priorities

​

Customer & Stakeholder Delivery

​

• Support delivery of major client engagements and strategic partnerships
• Represent the company with customers, investors, and external stakeholders when appropriate
• Help ensure operational and delivery commitments are consistently achieved
• Strengthen processes that improve customer outcomes as the organisation grows

Organisational Development

​

• Support workforce planning and organisational design
• Help build management capability across the company
• Foster alignment, accountability, and transparency
• Lead initiatives that strengthen company culture during periods of growth

​

Leadership Partnership

​

• Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the founders
• Lead special projects that are critical to the success of the business
• Help ensure leadership time is focused on the highest-impact activities
• Support board, investor, and executive-level planning activities

​

What We're Looking For

​

• 10+ years of experience in operations, strategy, consulting, programme leadership, or executive management
• Proven experience scaling teams, organisations, or complex programmes
• Strong strategic thinking and commercial judgement
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience driving organisational change and operational improvement
• Ability to influence without relying solely on formal authority
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure from scratch
• Strong leadership presence combined with a willingness to be hands-on

Nice to Have

• Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or deep-tech environments
• Experience working directly with founders, CEOs, or executive leadership teams
• Experience supporting fundraising, investor engagement, or corporate growth initiatives
• MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification

Compensation Range: 

$150K - $200K
