As we embark on a journey of expansion, both domestically and internationally, and into retail channels, we're seeking a Director of Operations to spearhead our operations' evolution.
The Role
The Director of Operations at Freebird will play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational efficiencies and scalability. This individual will be instrumental in refining our inventory management, supply chain, logistics, and supplier relationships. They will lead our expansion efforts and ensure our operations support our growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic operational goals to boost efficiency and productivity
- Streamline operations across distribution, supply chain, customer service, and manufacturing
- Forecast and plan inventory in collaboration with internal teams
- Optimize partnerships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers
- Enhance shipping, fulfillment, and return processes
- Negotiate contracts to achieve cost-effective shipping rates
- Implement and refine customer service strategies to improve satisfaction and efficiency
- Develop and monitor operational KPIs and dashboards
- Oversee operational budgeting and financial analysis
- Foster cross-functional communication and reporting standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in operations or supply chain roles, preferably in a DTC, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in ERP (e.g., Netsuite), WMS, and e-commerce platforms
- Deep understanding of warehousing, supply chain, and manufacturing operations
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
- Excellent communication and leadership qualities
- Experience in high-growth settings with adaptable priorities
