Role Overview
The Chief of Staff (CoS) partners directly with the CEO to drive company-wide execution excellence, ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into measurable outcomes and accountability is enforced across the organization. This is a highly strategic and operationally critical role, responsible for aligning functions, monitoring performance, resolving cross-functional dependencies, and enforcing standards for hiring, promotion, and progression.
Core Mandate
Turn strategy into enforced accountability. The CoS ensures that plans, targets, and expectations set by leadership are consistently measured, reviewed, and delivered against.
Key Responsibilities / Ownership Areas
- Company Performance & KPI Management
- Own the company-wide KPI architecture, including defining KPIs, assigning owners, and setting reporting cadence.
- Oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews to monitor progress and identify areas requiring attention.
- Ensure KPIs are tied to strategic goals and drive transparency across the organization.
- Ensure global staffing laws and regulations are met, managing third-party HR and legal support teams.
- Ensure all employee audits including global right-to-work checks, contractual compliance, and record-keeping meet audit pass standards.
- Hiring, Talent & Employee Onboarding Governance
- Own hiring governance, including role scorecards, hiring processes, and quality bar enforcement.
- Ensure all new hires meet established role expectations and align with organizational priorities.
- Provide guidance on hiring decisions and intervene when necessary to maintain standards.
- Own and maintain all recruitment platforms, ensuring global legal compliance.
- Manage the full employee onboarding cycle, ensuring legal requirements are met for Europe, UK, USA, and UAE.
- Compensation, Progression & Review Frameworks
- Implement and maintain review frameworks linked to pay, role continuity, and career progression.
- Monitor and enforce alignment between performance and compensation or promotion decisions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination & Escalation
- Resolve cross-functional dependencies to keep strategic initiatives on track.
- Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within functional teams.
- Require recovery plans with clear deadlines for underperforming initiatives or teams.
- Accountability & Enforcement
- Ensure hires meet role scorecard requirements.
- Manage promotions or pay increases in line with evidence.
- Escalate chronic underperformance to leadership for review.
- Ensure consequences are applied fairly and consistently to maintain accountability across the organization.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in senior operational, strategic, or program management roles, ideally in high-growth global organizations.
- Strong experience with performance management frameworks, KPIs, and executive-level reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive accountability across multiple functions without direct line management.
- Exceptional problem-solving, cross-functional coordination, and decision-making skills.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
- Strategic thinker with operational skills
- Comfortable enforcing accountability and making tough decisions when required.
- Strong communicator with executive presence and ability to work across global teams.
- Results-oriented, detail-driven, and proactive in identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
Salary
$140,000-$150,000
