Salary Range:
$175,000 USD - $225,000 USD
Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Chairman & CEO, and based in Seattle, this role supports in the execution of our business and client strategy. Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders (including the Executive and Operating Committees, the Board, and other senior leaders globally), this role provides strategic and operational connectivity between the CEO, business groups and clients.
A combination of strategist, consultant, and implementer, this critical role requires strong business acumen, a passion for drawing insights from data and translating them into strategic imperatives, and a suite of leadership and execution capabilities: high EQ, hyper-organized, superior judgement, strong attention to detail, innovative, dynamic, self-motivated, with a passion for getting things done in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving abilities are the baselines to being successful in a role steeped in a wide variety of strategic and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support the Chairman & CEO of Russell Investments in connecting the dots across the organization on a wide variety of strategic and business matters focused largely on clients and prospects.
- Direct and oversee processes and procedures for the Office of the CEO to ensure streamlined activities which drive the Chairman & CEO’s priorities, and keep critical initiatives, strategies, and teams aligned.
- Build insights through business analytics and reporting, which inform the determination and prioritization of strategic priorities and projects.
- As an objective critical thinker, act as a thought partner and sounding board to business unit leaders and initiative owners as they test assumptions, refine thinking and align their business and leadership focus on areas that drive high-impact growth.
- Design and oversee projects from inception to completion in support of strategic initiatives, and coordinate closely with leaders from strategy, corporate communications, finance, global shared services, and go-to-market functions to ensure activities are prioritized and executed.
- Support the Chief Strategy Officer to drive the Executive and Operative Committee rhythm of the business – to include defining agendas, facilitating meetings, and following up on action items as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, potential clients, partners, and investors, maintaining a positive and professional image for the firm.
What You Bring
- Experience analyzing market and client data, looking for trends and patterns and translating them into insights and information that shapes and drives business decisions.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with a track record of driving data-driven decision-making
- Demonstrable capabilities in scoping and coordinating the delivery of multi-faceted strategic projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey complex messages to all types of individuals.
- Structured and process-oriented thinking, balanced with a strategic mindset and keen understanding of how to align resources to meet strategic objectives.
- Exceptional and creative problem-solving skills, and comfort with making tough decisions.
- Demonstrated success in an evolving, fast-paced, pressured, complex environment.
- A passion for excellence and the ability to inspire others to reach high standards.
- An ability to fearlessly tackle issues and challenges, willingness to deal promptly and fairly with conflict in a decisive yet measured manner.
- Strong collaboration ability, including the ability to create a coalition behind initiatives through formal and informal reporting structures, and to work across silos and influence others to achieve results.
Experience
- 10 years in asset management including experience in sales, investment management, strategy or marketing
- Strong preference for management or leadership experience
- Master's degree in finance/economics, MBA, or related field preferred
