We are seeking an experienced VP of Operations who will oversee the performance of Onboarding, Risk & Compliance and Business Operations and will be responsible for ensuring that Onboarding, Risk and Compliance and our Business Operations is efficient and scalable for growth. In addition, you will oversee our Business Intelligence team which is responsible for ensuring accurate data throughout the organization. This is a strategic role and is a unique and exciting opportunity to facilitate smooth operations, onboarding, and data reporting in an industry-leading business model.

Our business is growing rapidly, and we operate in a very agile environment. Your focus will be to implement, maintain and improve processes, toolsets, and organizational structure capable of scaling with ease and confidence to enable exponential growth of processing volumes. In addition, you will oversee the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Lastly, this role will serve as a liaison between Customers, Financial Institutions and other 3rd parties and our Compliance representative.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of Operations and Payments Processing management and leadership experience within tech-enabled service environment
  • Demonstrated experience forming and executing strategies of a core service delivery department
  • Proven track record of process improvement analysis and implementation. Knowledge of and working experience in the environment compliant with SOC-2 operational principles
  • Demonstrated understanding of B2B payment methods and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to triage incoming issues and prioritize accordingly. Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines and working on a predefined schedule
  • Hands-on experience with large volume payment setup, initiation, and reconciliation
  • Experience managing and overseeing Risk and Compliance function with the ability to evaluate processes and mitigate visible risks
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence leaders and effectively negotiate with internal and external business partners
  • Experience in financial services and/or FinTech / Startup required
  • Lead development and execution of large-scale programs and initiatives that span across multiple departments such as Onboarding, Compliance, etc
  • Create and implement KPIs and metrics to measure performance and productivity of the operational objectives and projects
  • Work with customer support delivery leaders to identify areas for advancing operations workstreams to support a customer-first culture
  • You should be someone that thrives in a dynamic, high pressure and at times hectic environment with a culture of harnessing ongoing process improvement and a ‘can do' attitude
  • BA in accounting, finance, economics, or business. MBA preferred
  • Improves the implementation, design, and maintenance process by evaluating the adequacy of the tool sets and introducing new tools, techniques, and practices to ensure efficiency and productivity

Responsibilities:

  • This role is accountable for supporting leaders throughout the organization to make more data driven decisions, and creating business intelligence tools, visualizations, standards, and insights presentations
  • Directs enterprise data intelligence and data analytics for Finexio including design, development, and support of the data warehouse, dashboards, and other data analytical environments and systems
  • Interacts with leadership, key stakeholders, developers, and technical departments to promote information sharing, coordinate enterprise data intelligence development, assist in the coordination of development methodologies, and tools to provide operational support across the company
  • Proactive review of processes to identify inefficiencies, control weaknesses and opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with the Product group to build-out critical tools, automate routine work where possible, and address recurring issues
  • Keep Finexio operations up to date with industry best practices for Payment processing; drive the company towards operational excellence and compliance with SOC-2 operational principles
  • Ongoing liaison with financial institution partners in relation to operational/Compliance matters
  • Design and maintain reports and dashboards that capture meaningful data into Operations through leading and lagging indicators and early warning mechanisms. These dashboards should also be used to plan resourcing requirements
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and lead and encourage the team to achieve their very best through specific KPI's and metrics

Compensation: $140,000- $180,000k + equity.
