About Workday

At Workday, it all began with a conversation over breakfast. When our founders met at a sunny California diner, they came up with an idea to revolutionize the enterprise software market. And when we began to rise, one thing that really set us apart was our culture. A culture which was driven by our value of putting our people first. And ever since, the happiness, development, and contribution of every Workmate is central to who we are. Our Workmates believe a healthy employee-centric, collaborative culture is the essential mix of ingredients for success in business. That’s why we look after our people, communities and the planet while still being profitable. Feel encouraged to shine, however that manifests: you don’t need to hide who you are. You can feel the energy and the passion, it's what makes us unique. Inspired to make a brighter work day for all and transform with us to the next stage of our growth journey? Bring your brightest version of you and have a brighter work day here.

About The Team

The Financial Management Global Ecosystem team resides within the Financial Management Pillar of the Product & Technology organization. We partner with Sales, Services, Corporate Strategy and Inbound Product Managers to identify the most significant problems to be solved in our global markets.

About The Role

The primary responsibility of the role will be to drive the product strategy in areas where Workday will interoperate alongside best-of-breed applications to meet specific regional or Industry specific financial requirements.

You will help tackle some of Workday Financials most intricate problems and opportunities by building comprehensive strategies spanning product, services and alliances. Your day-to-day duties will include undertaking market and competitive analysis, customer and partner interviews, solution design and building business cases.

You will collaborate with all parties that touch Workday Financials to drive strategy creation and execution, including software partners, system integrators, product, services, field and alliances.

You will design high-level product solutions and define functional requirements whilst coordinating releases and influencing product roadmaps.

Outwardly facing, you will be a champion of our recommended solutions by providing enablement to internal teams, partners, and customers.

About You

You enjoy the challenges of taking ambiguous problems and working with a cross-functional team to craft and deliver innovative strategies. Ideally, you will have an understanding of accounting and related business processes and prior experience with Workday Financials, either as a product manager, consultant or customer.

Basic Qualifications

  • An understanding of accounting and related business processes (e.g. GL, AR, AP, assets, industry requirements, etc.).
  • Understanding of SaaS or ERP solutions, with previous experience building product solutions or strategies to solve business problems.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a relevant field (i.e. accounting practitioner and/or ERP implementer, consultant, product manager, seller).

Other Qualifications

  • A highly motivated, quick learner, who thrives on creatively solving tough problems with input and buy-in from others.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to easily and intuitively adapt content to various types of audiences.
  • Works well with others, including external parties. Listens actively to understand others’ points of view and incorporates feedback. Can influence others to contribute to larger initiatives.
  • Enjoys working on many ever-changing initiatives simultaneously.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!
