Director of Operations

Position Overview

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Runding's operations function, including development, implementation, and consulting services. This role provides overall vision, guidance, strategy, and team leadership for the operations function.


  • Services Delivery Management: Manage the delivery of services, including resourcing, technical support, and administration, to meet the needs and expectations of clients.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, develop, lead, and mentor a team of professionals.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize processes, workflows, and procedures to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
  • Incident and Problem Management: Establish and maintain effective incident and problem management processes to promptly address and resolve IT issues, minimize downtime, and mitigate business impact.
  • Partners and Contract Management: Manage relationships with partners and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of products and services in accordance with contractual agreements and service level commitments.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the department budget, including forecasting, planning, and allocation of financial resources for hardware, software, and personnel.
  • Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the IT security team to implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls to protect the organization's information assets, networks, and systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.


  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or experience in a similar role.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a senior leadership role within a software or software services organization.
  • Strong technical background in product management or software services delivery. Any related experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network security is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of the construction industry and project controls platforms would be ideal but not required.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL framework, IT service management processes, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage budgets, and drive organizational change initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.
