Responsibilities

  • Support the CEO in setting overall strategy and managing the day-to-day operations of the organization.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and accountability partner for the CEO; strategically manage the CEO’s time and involvement in projects and decision-making processes, ensuring appropriate balance of attention to highest priority items.
  • Enable rapid, well-informed decision-making for the CEO by filtering, aggregating, and organizing data from key sources and presenting in a digestible, objective and actionable format.
  • Act as an extension of the CEO, understanding long-term strategy and attending meetings to guide decision-making and delegate tasks and projects to individuals best positioned to complete them.
  • Proactively address pressing business issues and take the initiative to own special projects that might not neatly fit into existing organizational structure.
  • Work with the leadership team to identify opportunities to improve alignment, increase cross-functional collaboration, streamline policies and procedures, and support the execution of strategic priorities.
  • Own and continuously improve the organization’s operating cadence (e.g., team meetings, goal-setting workshops, quarterly and annual reviews, leadership offsites, etc.).
  • Prepare and facilitate leadership meetings; accountable for setting the agenda, providing insights and analysis to inform strategic conversations, and capturing and ensuring meaningful follow-up and completion of action items.
  • Drive the importance of confidentiality and discretion across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree/MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years professional experience
  • Highest level of integrity, emotional intelligence, and management of sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form; able to lead and influence across multiple levels and multiple functions of an organization in a concise manner
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to implement autonomously and lead multiple high-profile initiatives of varying timelines simultaneously with minimal oversight or direction
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, and critical thinking skills with the ability to judge situations accurately and quickly, grasping complexities, identifying key issues and applying sound judgment
  • Exceptional active listening, questioning, and coaching skills
  • Tact and diplomacy to navigate difficult conversation, exceptional active listening, coaching skills and willingness to challenge assumptions/perspectives
  • Entrepreneurial, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity; able to take initiatives from concept to reality
  • Ability to balance the demands of short-term execution with long-term value creation and understand the broader goals of the business and make decisions accordingly
  • Ability to comfortably dive into any area of the business, understand business needs, and facilitate executive decisions based on changing priorities
