The Job:

As our Chief of Staff, you will be the strategic navigator and operational engine of our organization. Working closely with our founders, you will play a pivotal role in driving our vision forward by ensuring operational and administrative excellence internally and externally, steadfast support of our founding and executive team, cultivating internal and external relationships and driving key initiatives to ensure the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence of Work-streams and Administrative Processes:

  • Oversee internal work streams and streamline processes & workflows to ensure smooth operations across the company.
  • Ensure planning cycles run smoothly and continuously seek opportunities to improve existing processes.
  • Assist the team in preparation and delivery of high-quality communications, such as presentations, speeches, and other materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Prepare agendas, draft key topics for company meetings, and take note of action items from important meetings.

Strategic Support to the Founding team:

  • Provide direct support to our founding team of 3, handling tasks ranging from calendar management to serving as a sounding board for company strategy.
  • Act as the founding teams ‘right-hand person’, assisting with various tasks and initiatives to support their vision for the company.

Project and Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, nurturing and facilitating communication between the founding team and various departments, partners, and investors.
  • Oversee and coordinate key cross-functional initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and track progress of set objectives.
  • Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Cultural Leadership and Partnership:

  • Develop a strong, operational partnership with founders (CEO, CTO), direct reports, staff, Board, and external partners, fostering a collaborative and synergistic environment.
  • Champion the implementation of our unique culture across the business, working closely with founders to ensure its integration and preservation.
  • Lead by example in encouraging next-level leadership, mentoring employees, assigning accountabilities, setting objectives, and prioritising the nurturing of a positive and innovative company culture.

Your Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in high performance operational management, project management, business administration and operations, consulting, management consulting or a related field, with a proven track record of driving organizational success and supporting executive leadership.
  • BSc or applied sciences level education or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong relationships.
  • Proven ability to drive results and execute on strategic initiatives.
  • Fluent in English. Second language a plus.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Industry Knowledge: Interest & understanding of the start-up or scale up industry and/or aerospace industry, technology and trends, with a passion for environmental sustainability.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capacity, with the ability to gather and blend complex information into digestible insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing projects and driving internal and external stakeholders to reach milestones and deliver on objectives.
  • Culture Nurturing: Lead the integration of our unique company culture, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth, encouraging open communication, creativity and diversity to create a workplace where respect, values and actions align.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Preference for a dynamic growth environment, can navigate ambiguity and adjusting priorities and strategies as needed.
  • Confidentiality: Approach with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
