Job Description

Candidate’s Profile:

The Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, managing key projects, and facilitating effective decision-making processes across the organization. Serving as a trusted advisor to the Chairman and CEO, this position requires a dynamic leader who is adept at navigating the complexities of the global business environment, particularly within the insurance industry. Works within and closely with the Executive team in all areas that require the attention of the CEO.

Key Objectives and Major Responsibilities:

Capital Allocation

  • Organic Growth: Work closely with the CEO and the Executive Team to evaluate and explore various areas for deploying capital for organic growth, which includes but is not limited to new capabilities, new regions, and new areas of growth.
  • In organic Growth: Build and develop an M&A strategy and identify potential targets. Liaison with investment bankers and companies directly to build a deal flow. Evaluate M&A opportunities presented to Xceedance by looping in the right teams and present recommendations to the Executive Team and then to the Xceedance Board of Directors.

Strategy & Business Development

  • Work with the Presidents and CEO to create business development strategies for large deals, such as rebadging opportunities, lease-back, and Build Operate Transfers (BOTs).
  • Consult with the Presidents to create and manage a contact list of clients and prospects for the CEO’s interaction and relationship building. Determine, communicate, and track progress on key objectives for those interactions. Prepare the CEO for all client interactions, including background material, Executive Team inputs, and market data and information.

Business Review

  • Keep track of OKRs owned by the CEO and ensure consistency of OKRs from the Executive Team and how it trickles down to the rest of the organization.
  • Review various business OKRs and assist the CEO in prioritizing the areas which need attention. Work with the CEO and Presidents on Operational Review of delivery units to ensure there is consistency and alignment with our strategy of being “technology enabled and vertical focused delivery.” Ensure consistent connection for the CEO to various financial reviews of the business and the Business Units.

Team Building

  • Assist the CEO in keeping the global team connected and aligned with our culture. Working with the CPO and the PLT, align to the right engagement platforms and content. Collaborate closely with CPO and CEO for building connectivity with the team in order to increase CEO’s capacity for team and culture building.

Investor Relations

  • Work on capital raise (debt or equity) and work with bankers, finance and internal teams to represent the organization and CEO as needed.
  • Build and maintain connections with institutional capital providers and regularly keep them apprised of our growth. Once we have external capital on our board, then be the liaison for them for getting updates on the company and manage their expectations.

Key Capabilities and Competencies:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Chairman and CEO, providing insights and analysis on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Lead and coordinate the execution of strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and milestones.
  • Facilitate communication between the CEO, senior leadership team, and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective collaboration across the organization.
  • Oversee the preparation of executive briefings, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including board members and investors.
  • Represent the CEO in key meetings and forums as required, articulating the company's vision and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate with leadership across departments to ensure smooth operation and implementation of corporate strategies.
  • Drive organizational change initiatives, supporting the company's growth and adaptation in the evolving insurance landscape.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
