Chief of Staff
Job Description
The Chief of Staff will serve as a key member of the Aegis leadership team, with broad visibility across the organization. This individual will serve as a key strategic advisor and force multiplier to Aegis's Co-Founder and Managing Partner across the studio's full executive functions, with a focus on strategy, corporate development, and new business creation. You will have a seat at the table to influence and improve all aspects of how we do business, with significant exposure and opportunity to drive impact across the Aegis ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead and oversee high-priority projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and within established timelines.
- Coordinate meetings with potential clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Prepare meeting agendas, materials, and follow-up actions.
- Attend meetings on behalf of the Managing Partner, delivering synthesized reports and ensuring that priority requests are flagged.
- Plan and direct administrative, financial, and operational activities on behalf of the Managing Partner
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a liaison between the Managing Partner and internal/external stakeholders, including board members, investors, partners, and team members
- Ghostwrite communications (i.e., emails, memos, decks) on behalf of the Managing Partner to foster and enable streamlined, real-time communication
- Serve as a key contact for investors and partners, addressing inquiries and providing updates
- Prepare compelling presentations and updates for investors and key stakeholders
- Draft press releases, thought leadership, and other communications to support business development on the Managing Partner’s behalf
Reporting and Performance Monitoring
- Assist in tracking and reporting pipeline status and key performance metrics
- Generate monthly reports for executive stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of investor communications and interactions
Corporate Development
- Support the Managing Partner in building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective investors and corporate partners
- Coordinate investor and corporate development meetings, conferences, and roadshows
- Prepare and distribute investor communications, including financial reports and updates
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to support investor engagement
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in business strategy and operations (preferably within the venture capital or early-stage startup ecosystem)
- Though not required, previous experience as a Chief of Staff will accelerate the onboarding and integration process
- Experience and passionate interest in healthtech, artificial intelligence, venture capital, or related industries
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee the advancement of multiple high-priority initiatives of varying timelines with minimal direction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse stakeholders
- Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide data-driven insights and distill data for senior executive decision-making clearly and concisely
- World-class communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- High initiative and a strong desire to independently invent novel solutions in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Open-mindedness and eagerness to grow in the role alongside Managing Partner

Additional Details
- The base salary range is $190,000 - $250,000 with an eligible cash bonus. A salary will be determined by experience, skill level, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
- Total compensation also includes a stock option grant and a competitive benefits package.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
