What we are looking for:

Candy Funhouse is seeking a candidate who embodies the company's culture, purpose, and strategy, achieving results with unyielding integrity and maintaining confidentiality across sensitive matters. The ideal candidate will be a team player, comfortable operating independently in unstructured environments, highly organized, and adept at balancing multiple work-streams to meet tight deadlines. Building strong relationships and coordinating across various constituents should be second nature. With a strong executive presence and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, they aspire to leadership.

Additionally, Candy Funhouse is looking for a self-starter and consultative problem solver with robust project management skills, experienced in leading change management for rapidly evolving organizations. The candidate should thrive on strategically approaching operational process improvements with a "start-up" mindset, emphasizing quick iterations and measuring what matters. Their experience enables them to craft a roadmap to operational excellence, complete with clear plans and measurable milestones, guiding others along the journey. They are at ease interacting cross-functionally at all levels, from operational functions to customer-facing leaders, adept at navigating the broader company landscape. Known for their ability to build cross-functional relationships and create value, they are highly organized and detail-oriented, passionate about designing and implementing processes to ensure organizational efficiency and growth.

Job Overview:

The Chief of Staff plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner to the CEO, and leadership team, ensuring company objectives are met. Acting as the CEO's trusted aide, this role assists in vital initiatives and guides day-to-day operations. They facilitate efficient decision-making by organizing and prioritizing critical issues. Additionally, they serve as a liaison between top management and stakeholders and provide oversight on key projects. Candidates should have extensive experience in leadership roles, particularly in executive advising and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison between the CEO, and other executives, clients, and investors
  • Manage and oversee key projects of the executive team driving them to completion
  • Integrates the company’s strategies and other business opportunities and initiatives into a coherent strategic agenda that allows the organization to execute the annual operating plan
  • Works with CEO and executive team to streamline strategic initiatives and communicate objectives to other leaders or stakeholders
  • Serves as liaison between staff, executives, senior leaders regarding company climate, project updates, goals, planning and recommendations
  • Ensures timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives at the direction of the CEO
  • Build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations
  • Represents the CEO in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Builds relationships with key stakeholders
  • Serves as a subject matter expert, handling company inquiries and developing action plans to address them and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications
  • Works with CEO to create strategic roadmaps to achieve growth strategies
  • Aids in performance reporting internally and externally

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leadership and effective management in a fast-moving, startup environment, reporting to a CEO, divisional President, or senior-most functional officer
  • Ideally experience in the CPG or Media industry working across multiple business segments within an organization
  • Strong background in finance, with use of operating metrics, in order to help track and drive decision making for the management team
  • Consistently utilizes data and has an analytical approach to shape strategies and optimize performance
  • Demonstrated success building systems that enabled a business to scale and support growth
  • Ability to manage a large number of simultaneous initiatives and set of deliverables
  • 5+ years’ experience in assessing and managing complex, cross-functional projects in organizations going through significant change and growth
