Chief of Staff

Job Description

We are assisting a fast growing SaaS company with their search for a Chief of Staff. This role will be based in Austin, Texas and will operate on a hybrid work schedule. The Chief of Staff position is a critical and trusted leadership role as the day-to-day right-hand to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with CEO to identify operating rhythm between him and team; ensure all prep work is done ahead of time and attend all executive meetings to take notes and drive accountability with follow-ups.
  • Dedicated professional who leads despite ambiguity and independently runs projects with minimal direction.
  • Partner with executive leaders to drive strategic or financial decisions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal and external initiatives and relationships.
  • Lead ad hoc strategy projects (e.g., org structure changes, pricing model updates, etc.).
  • Jump in wherever the CEO needs help – work closely with the CEO on his top priority items to help accelerate successful outcome.
  • Build strong connections across all the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience; ideally a combination of consulting/finance/project management and high-growth company experience.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience in Business/Finance.
  • Experience working closely with C-suite executives.
  • Eager to be responsible for business meeting follow-ups and able to move in and out between strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail and great organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on structure and execution.
  • Superior verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good relationships across the leadership team and within the company at large.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and be adaptable to various competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve ambitious goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
