I have worked in the private equity industry for almost 3 years now working directly under our CEO. As one of the first employees to join our team in 2018, I have been able to help the company’s rapid growth and support the foundation/creation of our culture, HR practices, marketing and brand building and BD initiatives. I bring a strong foundation and understanding of people through my BA Honours Degree in Psychology from Queen’s University. I am the Manager, Office of the CEO, the right hand to our Chief Executive, supporting him to take on special projects, BD initiatives, and shareholder engagement while primarily focusing on HR, culture and marketing.

Build a rapport with everyone on your team, or with someone at each level in your company.
I believe I can offer insights into how to help support a start up through its early years and share my experiences with others. Building a culture from scratch, implementing HR policies and procedures, as well as knowledge in raising capital as our mission as a Fund is to support growth Canadian companies with the capital they need to grow. Learning from the CEO, I have had an inside view into the private equity world and believe this knowledge can be shared.
I am hoping to be connected to a group of like-minded individuals who I hope can help mentor me into one day stepping into the Chief of Staff title. Although I may not have the title today I do believe that my experiences and role within the company very closely resembles that of a Chief of Staff in the making but I recognize I will need more experience to develop into the role. Part of joining this network will be to help accelerate my learning, growth and development.
