I am currently working as a Chief of Staff at Arcadia Biosciences (NASDAQ: RKDA) supporting the agricultural biotechnology industry. Previously I had been working as an independent consultant until I took this most recent position after working as an independent consultant. As a consultant, I worked collaborated with key contacts within companies, to identify project, scientific or regulatory needs in the US, Asia, Europe and South America. I have held roles as the Director of Project Management both at Arcadia Biosciences and Benson Hill formalizing project management within the organization, then managing the program portfolio of the company. Prior to that I managed the Analytical Science and Regulatory Support group for nearly 5 years, performing crop analysis and generating data for regulatory approvals through the FDA, USDA and multiple international agencies. Before that I worked as a principal scientist also at Arcadia in the Nitrogen Use Efficiency Program generating metabolic and protein fingerprints for engineered plant lines. I have also worked as a Research Technician at Rice University between undergrad and graduate school. I have a PhD in Biochemistry from Rice University (2007) and graduated from Indiana University (2001) with a BS in Biology, where I studied plant natural products and protein chemistry, respectively. I live in South Carolina with my husband and two beagles (and a couple hobby horses!) and make every effort to be outside being active after enjoying any culinary experience when not commuting across the country for work.
