About The Team/role

As the VP, Talent Acquisition, you will play a crucial role in guiding and expanding our team, developing our global recruiting strategy, and shaping our future vision. You will serve as a trusted advisor and recruiting expert to Checkr leaders, advising and optimizing existing processes to ensure success for all hiring teams. Reporting to the Chief People Officer and as a key member of the People leadership team, you will lead the function with analytical rigor, a dedication to providing an amazing candidate experience, inclusive hiring practices, and a focus on scalability.

What You’ll Do

Continuously improve the recruiting function to earn the trust of internal stakeholders and provide an outstanding candidate experienceDevelop a Talent Acquisition strategy and roadmap that scales with the company's growthChallenge existing practices, policies, and tools to optimize recruiter productivity and strengthen recruiting philosophyBalance a candidate and employee-centric mindset with frugal decision-makingMake data-based decisions as the default approachCreate and develop internship, apprenticeship, and scholar programsProvide a comprehensive suite of recruiting metrics to measure organizational healthOversee executive recruitingAnticipate and solve issues before they become problemsProvide exceptional leadership and mentorship to managers and team membersAct as a trusted advisor to Checkr's senior leadersElevate Checkr's employment brand both domestically and internationally

What You Bring

Extensive experience in building and leading high-performing recruiting teamsStrong understanding of the recruiting landscape in both tech and business rolesAnalytical mindset to drive data-based decision-makingActive interest in promoting Diversity & InclusionExperience working in a public companyUp-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trendsDemonstrated project management skills and a track record of successful project completionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPre-IPO company experience is a plus
