About The Team
The Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA) team's mission is to enhance how our stakeholders perceive and experience Citi. We protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. The Corporate Communications team is a nimble team in ESPA that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from Executive communications and public engagements to corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our various lines of business and functions. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce of more than 240,000 colleagues. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the ESPA team across the world.

About The Role
The Communications Lead for Personal Banking and Wealth Management Technology will be a key member of the Global Technology & Innovation Communications team, which designs and drives strategic communications that tell a consistent story across the bank, including how Citi is modernizing and simplifying to better serve clients. You will support the key technology leaders across Personal Banking and Wealth Management Technology (PBWMT) team, including the Head of PBWMT, Head of U.S. Personal Banking Technology, Head of U.S. Personal Banking Analytics, Global Head of Business Development and more. You'll shape and advance strategic PBWMT stories that highlight Citi's client-focused innovations and positions the bank as an employer of choice for tech innovators.
Responsibilities
In partnership with PBWMT leadership and the Global Technology & Innovations Communications team, develop communications strategies and tactics that enhance and drive awareness of key prioritiesDefine and oversee the support model for internal and external communications, including developing and executing a PBWMT communications strategy, ensuring delivery of both the strategy and corporate messaging prioritiesManage technology and innovation communication efforts across a variety of earned, owned and sponsored communication channelsProvide communications coaching to senior leaders, including town hall preparation, conferences, and written and video messagesAdvise and align leaders and partners to drive consistent messaging that has the right tone and information and is conversational and understandableEnsure that communications align to and reinforce the firm's business objectives and its mission and value propositionDevelop creative communications tactics to break through and resonate with colleagues and reporters while also leveraging existing communications channels as well as innovative ways of message deliveryCultivate and maintain relationships with journalists covering technology, banking technology, digital payments, data analytics and more - both inside and outside of financial servicesElevate the profiles of PBWMT leaders across key press features, speaking engagements, social media profiles and moreProvide ongoing insights into data and analytics of messaging and advise on improvements and changes to strategy and tactics
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications or another relevant fieldMinimum of 10+ years of communications management experience, preference of strong experience working with large tech organizationsDemonstrated track record of conducting successful and proactive internal and external communications programs that employ creative storytelling and use a variety of tools, forums and mediaA leader who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to contributeStrong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executivesStrong media relationships and understanding of the technology, fintech and consumer media landscapesIntegrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitudeExcellent organizational and project management skillsExperience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment within a heavily matrixed organizationStrategic mindset to integrate business strategy into all communicationsTrack record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
