Director of operations | General Manager

With over 1200 monthly active students, 50 teachers, 3 locations with over 10000 sq/ft of premium facility, Opus 1 Music Studio (www.musicopus1.com) is a leading music school in Palo Alto and Mountain View. We provide Piano Lessons, Violin, Cello Lessons, Guitar Lessons, Voice Lessons for All Ages and Levels.

We are seeking an energetic and experienced individual to join and lead our team as full time Director of Operations / General Manager.

Overall goal: Grow Opus 1 Music Studio from 1200 to 1500 weekly active Students

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing all customer operations (Sales & Customer Service & Marketing)
• Hiring, Managing and Mentoring our customer facing staff
• Managing Teachers Operations (Job Offers / Contracts, Time Off, Scheduling)
• Responding to and following up on escalations and customer complaints
• Overseeing the organization of Events (Recitals, Marketing, Parties etc.)
• Implement and improve our processes and school policies
• Budget / Revenue forecast / P&L
• Facilities management and upkeep

MUST haves: Proven business management experience & Weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)

• Evening avialability (weekly business opening hours are 1pm-9pm)
• Proven experience managing multi million dollar service businesses
• Proven Customer Operations / Sales / Marketing & business growth experience
• Experience with managing complex schedules
• Experience organizing events
• Have a strong work ethic and be highly responsible
• Experience with modern tools and online marketing
• Experience working in a school or educational institution
• Excellent verbal and written expression (English)

Compensation based on experience + performance bonuses.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $90,000.00 per year + performance bonus
