The Role

Brex is looking to build out a Business Operations team, which will take on the most critical cross functional projects to help the business scale. This individual will be the founding member of the team, playing a senior leadership role as they solve some of Brex’s biggest challenges in partnership with the executive team. The intent will be for them to build out the Business Operations function at Brex. The ideal candidate has proven themselves as a strong problem solver and influencer with the ability to partner with senior cross functional stakeholders to arrive at actionable solutions.


  • Own specific business problems as flagged by Brex’s leadership team - partner across multiple functions including Finance, Product, Sales, Marketing and Operations and Engineering teams to diagnose the problem, solicit input, develop recommendations and execute
  • Provide thought leadership and help influence business outcomes
  • Project manage execution against key priority initiatives
  • Establish the foundations of the Business Operations function, and over time, build out a team

What We Value:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; business degree, computer science, or engineering focus is a plus; MBA is also a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in a consulting corporate strategy or business operations role; experience at fintech/SaaS companies with a B2B sales motion, or at a similar growth stage company a plus
  • Strong problem structuring and written / verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence without authority and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills to understand business needs and processes at a company and individual
