ClickUp is looking for a Chief of Staff to take on a critical role supporting the Chief Business Officer (CBO). The CBO at ClickUp oversees the Operations, Finance, People, and Go-to-Market teams, with a collective mission to optimize the company's execution, cultivate a best in class employee experience, and grow the business.

As the Chief of Staff to the CBO you’ll be instrumental in coordinating planning, communications, and projects across the organization. You'll also serve as a right hand to the CBO, representing their perspective when they cannot provide it themselves and maximizing the impact of the CBO and their leadership team. The opportunities for impact in this role are extensive given its exposure to strategy, operations, and finances across the entire company. This position reports to the Vice President, Operations & Finance, but will work directly with the CBO.

What you’ll do:

  • Cultivate leadership personas and an employee experience within the CBO's teams that lead employees to be fulfilled while doing their best work.
  • Coordinate and at times draft communications for the CBO and their senior leaders, collaborating with the Internal Communications, People, and Finance teams as needed.
  • Regularly meet with the CBO to provide updates, advise, and receive guidance around key topics affecting the organization and company.
  • Support initiatives that are core focuses of the CBO and the rest of ClickUp's senior leadership team - informing leaders about deliverables they own, providing detailed guidance, and at times driving the initiatives or developing materials to support them.
  • Maximize impact of the CBO time by reviewing and providing feedback on materials in advance of the CBO's review, and advising on criticality of meetings.
  • Partner with the CBO and their leaders to create materials for ClickUp's board of directors.
  • Create agendas for the CBO's leadership meetings and events, and drive value-added discussion through effective facilitation.
  • Collaborate closely with the People team to review employee health throughout the CBO's organization, providing recommendations and driving improvements as needed.
  • Partner with the Finance organization regarding all aspects of budget management and financial planning for CBO’s teams, representing the CBO's perspectives and ensuring they are made aware when necessary.

What you bring to the role:

  • Proven track record of setting up, defining, and driving cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • 6+ years of experience of experience as a Chief of Staff, in Program Management, or in other roles that foster development of relevant skills.
  • Effective communication of complex challenges, goals, or program statuses to senior-level executives, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong proficiency with communication software, e.g. ClickUp docs.
  • Experience working with and supporting functional teams, ideally including Go-to-Market and Operations teams.
  • Strong collaboration, planning, influencing, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by cross-geographical teams and a willingness to solve the problems.
  • Tenured experience supporting C-level execs in the SaaS/ tech industry
