The Global Payments Technology and Client Services team is looking for an innovative, driven senior executive to join the Technology leadership team. This leadership position will operate as Chief of Staff to the Global Head of Technology and Client Services, working closely with the technology and CS senior management, leadership of the Global Payments business and other partnering organisations within Stonex to deliver oversight for planning, analytics, and strategic activities.

Responsibilities

Role:

Provide executive support and material development for board-level presentations including content on key program deliverables, financials, workforce strategy, operational stability, and risk and control objectives Drive strategy and analysis on all aspects of Technology management Coordinate with Business stakeholders and Technology leaders to develop Technology’s multi-year strategy Develop executive-level analytics, content, and presentations Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to research, develop, and present executive briefings to Technology and EMEA leadership teams Represent Global Payments technology team in various regulatory and audit related topics for various entities within the Global Payments business Support Technology teams during financial forecasts / budget exercises, ensuring linkage to Technology and Business strategies; provide regular updates to Technology Leadership Be a leader during crisis during European hours for the technology and client services team. Be an escalation point for tech/client issues that need support from other departments and external vendors and clients. Help the Global Head of Technology in staff development matters such training strategy, technology events, leadership sync ups with other tech and business teams within Stonex. Be owner of Strategic roadmapping for tech and CS teams in terms of sizing, skillsets, locations and finance. Support projects that improve business and process efficiency and effectiveness

The Global Payments Technology and Client Services leadership team – This role will be based in London and will work with the GP Tech and CS leadership that is based in New York, London, India and Singapore. The teams supported are based in New York, London, Brazil, Frankfurt, India and Singapore. The leadership consists of Heads of Software Engineering, Software Development, Product Management, Production Services, Client Services and a PMO. This role is a common link between these senior leaders and prepares the Global Head to represent them on management forums within the company.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred Previous experience in Tech management/strategy function Ability to direct and drive senior stakeholders towards a common goal; high EQ Experience in all aspects of Technology planning, execution, and delivery Confidence and comfort operating in high-paced and high-profile environments Expertise in senior-level presentation development and delivery (samples required) Senior understanding of enterprise organisational and behavioural dynamics Demonstrable track record of handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately Strong handle on operational metrics, financial / accounting principles and strategy, and workforce strategy principles Experience in Financial Services, Management Consulting, and/or Technology Management. Excellent communication skills and executive presence Ability to build relationships and become a trusted point of contact to provide guidance and support across all levels of seniority embrace a flexible work-day and able to juggle multiple deliverables and effectively prioritise Financial Services technology background is a must. Experience in cross border payments is a plus.

Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Senior Manager Function/ MRT role, subject to the Financial Conduct Authority’s (“FCA”) Senior Managers and Certification Regime (“SMCR”) and the Investments Firms Prudential Regime (IFPR).

The Senior Managers Regime entered into force for solo regulated firms on 9 th December 2019 and the Investments Firms Prudential Regime (IFPR) on 1 st January 2022.

The Certification Regime entered into force for solo regulated firms on 31 st March 2021.

Under SMCR and IFPRR, StoneX Financial Ltd (“SFL”) must ensure that employees working in certain roles categorised as specified significant harm functions (Material Risk Takers and Certified Roles) are assessed as fit and proper to perform their role.

Under the regulations and guidance issued by the FCA, firms must have regard to the following when assessing fitness and propriety:

honesty, integrity and reputation; financial soundness; and competence and capability.

In order to comply with the requirements of the SMCR, SFL must take reasonable steps to ensure that a person does not perform either a Senior Manager or Certified Role without first being assessed/certified as being fit and proper. For this reason, you will be assessed for this role against the fit and proper requirements as described above.

The assessment will be carried out through extensive interviews, self-disclosures, permitted criminal record checks, regulated reference checks, credit checks and other background screening checks.
