The Lanby is a hospitality-forward primary care members club that opened in Fall 2021 in New York City. Designed by patients, for patients, The Lanby takes a more expansive approach to primary care — one that’s integrative, customized, and above all, service-centric.

At the core of the model is a dedicated three-person care team (Lead Physician, Wellness Advisor, and Concierge Manager) assigned to each patient to cover the three pillars of the patient journey: medicine, wellness, and “patient admin”. Membership includes a personalized care plan, unlimited visits and chat, complimentary cafe, wellness assessments, exclusive events and programming, access to a vetted specialist referral network, and more.

With a sophisticated club space inspired by NYC’s coveted hospitality scene, along with five-star service that caters to the patient at every touchpoint, The Lanby is reimagining concierge medicine for the modern generation.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Lanby is looking for a Chief of Staff to closely support the Co-Founder/CEO on strategic initiatives and execution. The ideal candidate will directly contribute to the growth of The Lanby by providing thought partnership and executional support for both internal and external matters of high importance, with a particular focus on strategy, finance, and operations. The Chief of Staff will work to increase accessibility of information across the leadership team to drive better, more timely decision-making. Acting as a thought leader and mentor across the company, the Chief of Staff will play an integral role in helping The Lanby become one of the most beloved and trusted health and wellness brands.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The ability to work cross functionally and identify opportunities to add value to the CEO will be a critical driver in aligning the organization around priorities and helping guide the overall corporate strategy. The below highlights examples of key responsibilities:

**Strategic Planning **

• Provide decision support through research, analysis of information and clear presentation of considerations, working with clinical and non-clinical team to distill and organize recommendations for Founder approval

• Identify, develop, and implement continuous process improvements to increase the efficiency of the company

• Meet regularly with Care Team leads to develop and track progress against goals, flagging projects requiring resources and attention. Manage, research and track cross-functional initiatives such as new product innovation, marketing initiatives and sales presentations

• Prepare key presentation and structure agendas for internal and external stakeholders (i.e. senior leadership, Board, investors, etc.)

• Steward the recruiting and onboarding process, aiding the Founder with talent, culture & internal comms

• Host periodic focus groups and consumer surveys to stay close to consumers, gauge NPS and satisfaction levels, and draw insights on ways to improve and inform new product development

**Finance and Data Analytics **

• Manage annual and quarterly goal setting across all areas of the business and meet regularly with team leads to track progress of key growth initiatives

• Serve as the gatekeeper for the financial model and keep a pulse on financial insights around ROI, as well as business impact across channels and teams (with support of external accounting firm)

• Optimize financial processes, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis

• Support CEO in establishing KPIs across departments, reporting infrastructure, and opportunities for optimization and growth

• Work closely with the CEO and external analytics teams to aid workstreams around data architecture builds and optimization to ensure The Lanby is set up for success

• Support CEO with materials and information needed to facilitate investor communications

**Operations **

• Support team on operational problem-solving and execution (both clinical and non-clinical)

• Identify ways to streamline patient communication and care protocols to maximize Care Team efficiency

• Leverage our EHR to the extent possible and other integratable tools to embed more opportunities for systems automation

• Build strategic alliances with clinical referral partners to strengthen referral network

• Bolster relationships with key suppliers to ensure proper management of supply chain

• Work with legal counsel to identify and address legal and regulatory issues involved in ongoing clinical operations and new product launches

• Oversee and operationalize new service launches

You Are/Have

• Someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• An entrepreneurial self-starter who is nimble and adaptable, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity

• A quick learner who is adept at problem solving, detail-oriented and able to manage a wide range of incoming requests and responsibilities

• A naturally creative and systems-oriented thinker with a strong quantitative outlook and matching analytical skills

• Experience working closely with C-suite level management, building trust with executives and stakeholders across multiple levels and functions of an organization

• An ability to dive into any area of the business or product, understand business needs, and facilitate executive decisions

• Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to track, prioritize and drive tasks across multiple projects successfully

• Exceptional writing skills with a keen attention to detail and an ability to effectively synthesize complex ideas

* Excellent verbal communication skills and comfort presenting to groups in an effective, situationally appropriate, clear, and concise manner

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to model insightful financial analyses and prepare well-structured presentations

• Preferred experience and familiarity with early-stage healthcare brand or direct-to-consumer product

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting or corporate strategy and development

• Preferred passion for health & wellness and curated hospitality experiences
