The Role
In this role, the Chief of Staff will report directly to the Global Head and General Manager of Personal Systems Category organization, and work side by side him and his leadership team in leading this business.
Summary
You will partner with the GM to shape and operationalize the key initiatives underlying the execution of the business strategies. You will help establish an effective operational cadence, covering content and process, across the organization to progress the initiatives. You will drive engagement plans for the GM with external and internal stakeholders. You will help shape the engagement on behalf of the GM with key stakeholders across other L2 organizations in PS and in HP. You will lead strategic projects on an as-needed basis – anything that is needed to keep the organization running smoothly and to ensure the team is working towards the same objectives/outcomes. You will work side-by-side with the GM in owning key business deliverables and working to ensure optimal staff efficiency and effectiveness. In summary, this is a highly dynamic and scalable role that serves as a trusted go-to leader, someone who gets things done and works effectively across all levels of the organization. The specific responsibilities of the role are as follows:
Key responsibilities
Help the GM translate strategy and business priorities into leadership level goals and executable plans with clear timelines and accountabilities for the broader organization.Allocate key action items to ensure efficient utilization of the leadership team.Identify and operationalize key initiatives underlying the execution of the business strategy.Help prioritize the key focus areas for the leadership team.Help the GM plan high-level calendar to ensure GM time is being allocated to highest priorities areas; regularly assess and share feedback with GM and EA on effective reprioritization.Identify key meetings and events and flag concerned stakeholders for support.Drive regular cadence of external meetings with customers and partners;Lead an effective teamwork environment through facilitation of staff meetings, collaboration, and alignment across the leadership team.Work with Category leaders to improve team’s functioning and efficiency.Drive face-to-face planning session agendas and content preparation activities.Shape strategic and operational projects by engaging and influencing Category leaders and other stakeholders across the organization.Track progress on key strategic organizational initiatives, signal performance gaps, work with the team to understand the issue, and define mitigation plans.Partner closely with HR to drive building of organizational culture, employee engagement and the best place to work.Supervise and ensure priority resource allocation for Project Management Organization to support Business Management, Operations, and Business Continuity Plans.Drive engagement and communication plans for the PS Category organization – focused on driving awareness, engagement, and alignment to priorities. Includes All Employee/All Manger or other forums as needed (webinars, engagement/ training, feedback /roundtable sessions, etc.), as well as VIA Action Team supervision and sponsorship.Shape and supervise creation and deployment of communication including people, priorities, performance (Share, Q-end, etc.)
Education And Experience Required
Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalentExperience in sales, category, or product management highly desirable10-15 years of relevant experience, including experience in Services, Staff Operations, Business planning
Knowledge and Skills
Proven track-record of project/program leadership including leading global, cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization.Strong analytical thinking, analysis, problem-solving skills, process orientation, and business acumen skills.High degree of flexibility and the ability to work within a fluid, constantly changing environment.Ability to pull together external, and internal Executive level presentations.Highly developed collaboration, relationship building, and communication skills.Proven ability to work with/influence across all levels and functions within the organization to achieve actionable results through others.Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail and quality of deliverables; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities (both long and short term) simultaneously.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills, and group facilitation. Ability to communicate complex or abstract ideas clearly and succinctly.Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $156,000 - $240,250 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
