As Chief of Staff to the Chief People Officer, you will have the opportunity to influence and drive the business globally. This person will have the opportunity to drive high impact, high visibility projects that involve multiple cross-functional teams. This role requires an individual who anticipates and understand how to get things done at Sterling through influence and leveraging their communication, leadership and collaboration skills. In addition, senior business operations, project management and strategic planning experience is required. As a Chief of Staff, you thrive in high-velocity, unstructured environments and possess the business judgment and communication skills needed to collaborate with a variety of people and f unctions. You're outrageously organized and thorough, anticipating potential issues before they become a problem. This position reports directly to the CPO, providing organizational and tactical support.
Act as an extension of the Chief People Officer, working behind the scenes to improve operational efficiency, solve problems, make decisions, and manage organizational issues Oversee large, often cross-functional, organization-wide projects or special P&C initiatives; bring together important stakeholders and help drive decisions. Assist the CPO in executing on People & Culture goals and initiatives by tracking progress , action items from meetings, gathering status updates, and supporting execution plans Plan and lead the annual strategic planning process & quarterly P&C town halls Create and maintain cross-departmental relationships to drive visibility and alignment Prepare communications strategy for leader s including announcements, surveys, presentation materials, newsletters, etc. for internal and external audiences. Maintain distribution lists, team calendar, team holiday planning and ensure consistency around key documents and templates Work closely with CPO’s Executive Assistant to proactively manage leader’s time and commitments Ensure Workday and internal systems are accurate and up to date Align team initiatives with global initiatives in the other Sterling regions
Experience in Human Resources and experience as a Chief of Staff strongly preferred Proven track record of working with C-level Executives Six Sigma/Lean Process experience preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skill s, highly organized, and attention to detail Experience in strategic planning and execution Ability to build relationships at all levels and influence change to help teams deliver value Experience in simplifying processes, challenging status quos
