Right hand to Country Managing Director

Verisure is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Chief-of-Staff to the Managing Director in the Netherlands. Reporting and working closely with the Managing Director as well as the rest of the Management Team, this position will support our growing operations in the country. The role is based in Amsterdam.

The Chief-of-Staff will be critical to the success of the business. Not only the role will be expected provide day-to-day support to the Managing Director in the Netherlands - giving him additional leverage and amplifying its impact - but it will also own critical, commercial, and transformational projects.

The position is a multidisciplinary, facilitative, and highly strategic role that will interact with many stakeholders at country and group level. The role will be transversal and have exposure to key strategic initiatives at Verisure Netherlands, while also have the end-to-end ownership of several critical and transformational projects. Both strategic skills and hands on mentality are required for the position.

The role is highly visible by the country MT and Group leaders and is a fast track into leadership positions at Group or Country level. The Chief-of- Staff position will develop as the business grows and as opportunities arise.

Eventually this role provides an outstanding platform for a highly talented individual to interact closely and with autonomy with the Managing Director and be instrumental to further design and implement the strategy for the company.

Verisure in the Netherlands

Verisure Netherlands is a key geography for Verisure, and it is expected to generate solid growth moving forward by driving penetration in the underpenetrated and high potential Dutch market.

Netherlands today is a mid-sized Verisure country with over 850 employees. During the last five years the company has seen a very strong growth and is now getting ready for the next phase of its expansion. We have set a clear strategic plan that would transition Netherlands from a mid-sized company to a larger scale enterprise in the next years - and make Verisure Netherlands as the recognized and undisputed leader in monitored home security solutions.

The business’ 2028 objective is to exponentially grow the EBITDA and to triple the financial size of the company. This makes Verisure is one of the fastest growing mid-sized companies in Netherlands.

Priorities for the role

Priorities will include:

• End-to-end ownership of several critical and transformational projects, that could include:
  • Support in the development of new go-to-market and business around strategic partnerships
  • Develop better strategic knowledge of industry players and market commercial dynamics
  • Define marketing strategies to increase awareness and reach of our Brand
  • Participate in business performance tools development
  • Importing group best practices and help applying them in Netherlands
• End-2-end process design of strategic changes and drive full roll out
• Right hand to Managing Director
  • Amplify impact and reach of Managing Director, supporting him on the definition and implementation of the strategy for Netherlands and key value creation initiatives
• Closely work with MD on ad hoc interventions which require high attention and deep dive analysis
• Transversal and multidisciplinary business enabler
  • Work closely with the entire Management Team on strategic and transversal projects impacting including Marketing and Lead Generation, Commercial channels including field sales, sales structure creation, alliances, Portfolio, Operations.
  • Facilitate interactions with many stakeholders at country and group level
• Participate with strategic planning in projects for our company, both at country and global level

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a high potential / top performer individual, proactive, solution-oriented advisor focused on driving value to the business who is looking for a fast track into the CEO office and ultimately a leading and challenging job in a company line organization. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from a high performing CEO and have a real impact in the business at a young age.

• High Potential / Top Performer from a top tier strategic consulting firm
• Top tier education background with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an analytical field of study (such as engineering or business administration)
• Ideally, previous hands-on experience with commercial projects/sales projects in fast paced B2B2C and B2C companies
• Significant experience in multi-national and multi-cultural environment
• Strong track record on project management and presentation skills
• Fluent in Dutch and in English – any other European language would be an asset.
