Chief of Staff | Office of the President and CEO

**Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Chief of Staff to support our President and Chief Executive Officer at our Jacksonville, FL location. **

The Chief of Staff will serve as the primary voice of the office of the CEO to the most important internal and external stakeholders. The Chief of Staff will provide strategic support and advice to the CEO and manage operations, act as a confidant and a delegate. This individual ensures accountability and completion of delegated work. The Chief of Staff will lead communication and collaboration in a manner and tone consistent with the office of the CEO. The individual’s contributions are critical to the organization's success by having complete understanding of and alignment with CEO’s critical priorities. The Chief of Staff will foster a culture of trust and integrity and drive strategic initiatives that advance the mission of Nemours Children’s Health.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, advance graduate degree preferred
• Seven or more years of experience in a chief of staff, management, or executive role required
• At least 5 years of experience supporting executive level leadership required
• Health care experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to write and speak at a level of professionalism commensurate with the role.

Position Details:

The Chief of Staff (COS) plays a critical role in supporting the President and CEO of Nemours Children’s Health, a large, multistate pediatric health system. The position involves a wide range of responsibilities and requires exceptional leadership skills, an exemplary degree of emotional intelligence, strong strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the CEO’s agenda, style, strengths, opportunities.

The Chief of Staff serves as a trusted confidant to the CEO. The position will establish a close working relationship, providing confidential advice and feedback, acting as a sounding board, and offering a fresh perspective on vital matters. By fostering open communication and trust, the Chief of Staff will become a valuable partner to the CEO, helping him make informed decisions and navigate complex challenges.

The Chief of Staff leads or supports special projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO, coordinating cross-functional teams, establishing timelines, and monitoring progress to ensure successful and timely completion. The position conducts research, analyzes data, and provides insights to support decision-making processes, anticipating opportunities and challenges relevant to the project or initiative and taking appropriate mitigative steps.
