We’re looking for a highly motivated, super-organized self-starter who will work hand in hand with our founder Jan to solve a wide variety of challenges across the business. You’ll get first-hand exposure to what it means to build and scale a startup and within 18-24 months you will be perfectly prepared for a leadership role in our team or starting your own entrepreneurial journey.

Your key responsibilities:

  • You will work directly with our Founder & CEO Jan, our COO Tassilo and the extended management team to build a category-defining, fast-growing B2B SaaS company from the earliest stages.
  • You support the CEO in his daily, weekly, and monthly activities in line with our strategic goals and projects as well as operational and ad-hoc priorities.
  • You act as a point of contact between the CEO and internal as well as external stakeholders (e.g., investors, legal advisors, professional services).
  • You prepare and implement management decisions independently with limited guidance including long-term strategic projects and short-term activities.
  • You develop and manage our business and financial model including underlying KPI analyses in close alignment with functional experts.
  • You run central execution tracking across all functions in close collaboration with the executive team to ensure company deliverables are on track
  • You support the COO in his compliance work ensuring that Next Matter adheres to and remains officially certified under the relevant frameworks (esp., GDPR and SOC) in close collaboration with our customers as well as internal and external experts.
  • You help prepare board meetings, investor reporting, and management meetings in close collaboration with the extended management team.
  • You work on structuring, simplifying, and automating processes across our team to make room for the actual priorities that matter and set us up for success as we scale.
  • Your role comes with great autonomy allowing you to identify problems, carry out analyses, design solutions and execute them.

Who are we looking for?

  • Work Experience: You have internship(s) and/or 1-3 years of work experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g., top-tier start-up, strategy consulting, investment banking).
  • Educational Excellence: You hold an MBA or Master’s degree from a globally recognised university or business school.
  • International experience: You have experience working in international teams and enjoy being surrounded by people with different backgrounds.
  • Drive: You love to execute and are persistent in pursuing ambitious goals and initiatives. You are willing to go above and beyond and move fast while focusing on key priorities across business areas.
  • Project management: You like to take ownership of strategic as well as highly operational projects and know what it takes to get things done. You are able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort in a very hands-on working mode.
  • Attention to detail: You are comfortable navigating the big picture as well as the minute details of projects, models, and documents delivering high quality end products at each level with minor guidance.
  • Analytical skills: You enjoy working through complex problems and proposals in a structured, results-oriented way. You are able to ask the right questions to frame risks and opportunities and are comfortable thinking through cross-functional issues.
  • Communication skills: You communicate fast and efficiently and write and speak polished English and German. You have a talent for moderating and synthesizing communication across different people and teams.
