The Role: We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to the CTO to join the WorldQuant team. The Chief of Staff will support the CTO of WorldQuant in critical day-to-day operational and executive work. The role includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with senior management to determine, develop, and prioritize business and technology strategies
  • Work directly with the CTO and other C-Suite executives to drive key team and company priorities
  • Gather and analyze information to senior leadership to help make key decisions
  • Provide clear documentation and communication of results to a diverse audience of stakeholders
  • Relationship management between WorldQuant and 3rd party consultancies/software vendors
  • Be a trusted delegate to CTO to handle routine day-to-day matters of the organization.
  • Partner with executive team members in managing key projects and priorities
  • Prepare and present organization-wide updates
  • Lead global employee engagement initiatives
  • Lead oversight and execution of an effective global technology talent strategy
  • Oversee program and business management functions for Technology organization.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years’ experience as Chief of Staff, COO, or a similar role in Technology or Financial industry
  • Background in software engineering preferred, but not required
  • Highly analytical and creative thinker with strong business acumen
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with an obsessive attention to detail
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to difficult problems
  • Effective vendor negotiation and value engineering skills
  • Familiarity with standard accounting methods and practices
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at all levels
  • Ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
  • Experience working in a highly demanding environment while exhibiting a keen sense of urgency
  • Strong mentorship, conflict management and decision making skills

WorldQuant is a total compensation organization where you will be eligible for a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $250,000 which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer we will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
