Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, ensuring effective management of cross-functional initiatives, corporate development, and executive team coordination, thereby facilitating Akeneo's growth and operational excellence. As the right-hand to the CEO, this role is designed to assist in:
Strategic Partnership: Act as an extension of the CEO, understanding their vision and priorities, and translating them into actionable strategies.
Operational Excellence: Streamline processes, ensuring that the company's operations run seamlessly. This includes identifying bottlenecks, proposing solutions, and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and effectiveness across the board.
Executive Liaison: Foster open communication between the CEO and key stakeholders, including department heads, board members, and external partners.
Decision Support: Aid in the decision-making process by providing the CEO with relevant data, insights, and analysis, ensuring that decisions are well-informed and aligned with the company’s long-term vision.
Organizational Advocate: Champion the company’s culture and values, ensuring they are consistently upheld and integrated into all initiatives, projects, and decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee and identify opportunities for M&A activities.
- Evaluate potential business partnerships and investments to support Akeneo’s expansion.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and liaise with external advisors and consultants.
- Ensure a smooth transition and integration process for new acquisitions.
Cross-functional Strategic Project:
- Spearhead the establishment of a Project Management Office (PMO).
- Prioritize, allocate resources, and ensure execution of strategic projects.
- Collaborate with department heads to track project milestones and deliverables.
- Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives to stakeholders.
Executive Team Coordination:
- Develop and maintain an internal operational calendar, coordinating key meetings, events, and communication.
- Facilitate decision-making processes by providing relevant data and insights.
- Mentor and support the CEO’s direct reports, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities.
- Implement frameworks for tracking and measuring departmental KPIs.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment
- Proven track record in corporate strategy, M&A, and operational excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Aptitude for fostering collaboration and building relationships at all organizational levels.
- High level of discretion and integrity.
- Proactive approach with a focus on problem-solving and innovation.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
